History

ScubaBase started in 1998 as a private software project. It was short for scuba diving and database,
combining dive log and decompression planner fully Bühlmann compliant (incl. nitrogen and helium). In 2002 ScubaBase became a commercial product.

In the following years other products appeared on the market and competition became hard. In 2010,

ScubaBase went into pause-mode. New ideas were investigated and evaluated.

The last decades many manufacturers came with good products and innovative solutions. However, the weight problem of scuba cylinders on land is taken for granted and seems to be a natural property of scuba diving.

Solving the weight problem on land is exactly where ScubaBase fits in.
